Dear alumni,
Welcome to the first UCAA newsletter of the new year! As the UCAA Board we wish you all the best for 2012.
Career Day
This year’s Career Day will take place on the 28th of February from 14h until 19h (divided into two sessions). Companies currently on the list of attendees include Bain, Google, Sotheby’s, De Brauw and others. Alumni are more than welcome to attend and Bain and Google specifically are interested in seeing alumni there for recruitment purposes. For more information, please drop us a line at info@ucaa.nl.
Furthermore, we are looking for a number of alumni to attend the event as career ambassadors. Should you be interested in returning to campus to share your knowledge of career paths after UCU please let us know. We are particularly look for entrepreneurial alumni to take part in a round-table discussion.
Pub Quiz
Do you feel it’s time to taste the bubble again? The yearly UCAA Pub Quiz is coming up! On Friday February 10th, from 20h until 23h, you are invited to the UCSA Bar to come keep the tradition alive and see whether you can do better than current UC students. In between the questions there will be short performances both by alumni and students. Sign up your team (up to 5 members) via info@ucaa.nl. See you in the Bar!
New Board Members
We’re very excited to announce two new additions to the UCAA board. Roeland van Beek (’11) is taking on the position of Events Coordinator, while Leonie Hussaarts (’08) will be doing the PR/External Relations tasks. We’re very happy to have them on board. To read a short introduction by Roeland & Leonie head on over to the website.
Post
As you’ll hopefully have seen, the new December edition of Post was sent out a few weeks ago. We’re very happy with how the magazine turned out, so we hope you’ve enjoyed reading it as well. If however, for whatever reason, you have yet to receive your copy, please let us know by sending an e-mail to info@ucaa.nl and we’ll make sure you’re still sent one. In the mean time, the articles are also available for you to read and comment upon online at talkingpost.org.
Sincerely yours,
The UCAA Board
